Civil Litigation

Civil Litigation, as contrasted with criminal litigation, focuses on providing a monetary remedy for a wrong committed by the individual or company to be sued. Criminal litigation focuses on an individual’s liberty, i.e., whether the individual has committed a crime that will result in fines or incarceration.

Michael R. Szolosi, Sr. limits his practice to the area of civil litigation. Even within the broad umbrella of civil litigation, there are many types of civil lawsuits. Please see the principal areas of civil litigation that are explained on this website for more details.
